I'm Neilawattie Merna Timaul, MSc — a molecular biologist and certified holistic health consultant whose relationship with science began at 15, working in a laboratory after school and every summer. What started as teenage curiosity became a lifelong vocation: I worked my way up from research intern to laboratory manager while attending college at night, building the kind of foundation that only comes from doing the work, year after year, at the bench.

 

And because I know what it means to be that teenager at the bench — full of questions and not yet sure of the path — I created a summer internship program for high school and college students during my years as laboratory manager, giving the next generation their own first chapter in science.

Over 30+ years and six elite research institutions, that foundation grew into a career spanning molecular genetics, cancer biology, translational science, and virology — with 16 peer-reviewed publications in journals including Nature Medicine, Cancer Cell, and Cancer Research.

I founded Healing Hypothesis Lab to bring that depth of scientific expertise to the people and teams who need it most — and to bridge what the bench reveals with what the body actually experiences every day.
